Wendy Burch is the Mother of Mother's Love for Your Pet! Having been born with a natural love for all living creatures and animal companions, she has been the sole proprietor and primary pet sitter of Mother’s Love for 14 years. She first had the inspiration to start a pet care business in 1994, while working as an office manager, writer and editor. She had left her beloved dogs at a kennel during her vacation, and when she arrived home and found they were stressed and unhappy, she thought to herself, there has got to be a way that people can leave their animals in a loving, safe, and familiar atmosphere….. and Mother's Love for Your Pet was born! Until she began to hire professional pet sitters to help out with her large number of happy clients, Wendy was the sole pet sitter for Mother’s Love. In 2000, Wendy bought another pet sitting business in Alameda, and added it to her own already thriving business. Wendy has her Masters degree in Creative Writing and is published world-wide. She is also a Reiki Master, animal communicator, and co-founder of Pet People Network, which was started in 2006 as a community web site for a variety of pet services and animal companions all over Northern California. Wendy has studied with Dr. Patricia McConnell, behaviorist, in her seminar, “New Perspectives on Canine Behavior, Emotion and Training.” She continues her practice and study of animal communication. Numerous articles have been written about Wendy and Mother’s Love, and Wendy was recently invited to the Oakland Zoo’s “Teen Wild Careers Night” to speak about the joys of a career in pet care and consultation. Wendy and her partner Jon are also the parents of Kaiya, a Golden Retriever puppy, 11 finches and a canary named Nima, a Gold Ball Python named Beauty, and numerous fish.
